Surgery Went Well

Josh is recovering well from his surgery Thursday. They had a clear enough margin to only remove the lower left lobe, not the entire lung, so that was great news. He's in a good bit of pain but handling it like a trooper as always. I thought the incision was going to be on his side but actually it's diagonal across the upper left half of his back (where they cut in between the ribs). It looks like he got in a knife fight with a sneaky man. This time he was up and walking 4 hrs after the surgery was finished. He said that while this is painful, it's not as bad as the surgery 2 years ago. They say he'll probably be discharged Sunday, maybe Monday. For you local folks, he's up to having some visitors tomorrow (Saturday), just call us ahead of time. I'm very glad to be home and looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight after 36 hrs at the hospital. Josh's mom is pulling the night shift tonight. I'll be back up there tomorrow morning. Thanks to everybody for your prayers and good wishes. We'll post again soon.

Peace,
Kimberly
