Take a close look! This was my first salad in approximately 11 months. It was a really bad salad with browned lettuce but I didn't care a bit. It tasted so good! Finally...lettuce...ahhh! You have no idea how much I have missed lettuce. I have yet to add additional raw items to my salad, but I will try them one at a time until I am confident that everything will be alright. Also, I had creamed corn over the weekend and it was awesome too. My life has evolved into excitement about creamed corn and lettuce. Oh well! Simple minds, simple pleasures.
Overall, things are going pretty well. I keep expecting things to get worse but they seem to be progressing alright. Lately, my bathroom time is limited to morning with the rest of the day being pretty predictable. I am trying to train my system to have a regular schedule which will take a little more time. There is a little bit of pain involved, but I think that will improve as I get used to how it feels now. I am relearning bowel techniques because the old "push and squeeze" method, as one might call it, does not exactly work for me. Enough of this talk though, huh. I get my sutures taken out tomorrow.
