Doctor Visit

Well, I went and spoke with the doctor yesterday about my increased pain. He was afraid that I might have an abscess that needed to be addressed. He sent my for a CT scane to get a look at what was going on. The CT scan came back okay with no abscesses. With that, he noted that there was some inflammation in the area. He prescribed my some Celebrex for the inflammation and also an antibiotic in case there was an infection.

In regards to the medicine, m insurance company would not authorize my coverage for the Celebrex (and this is the one that is not currently requesting my records in an attempt to what appears to be denying my coverage). We are still waiting to see what happens after the nurse called and spoke with them and explained why I needed the anti-inflammatory. So, in the meantime I purchased 10 pills out-of-pocket to help get some relief. I am really tired of dealing with insurance companies and all their bullshit!

Anyway, the medicine has helped with some relief. I am still in a little pain, but we will see if the progress continues.

Doctor's Visit Tomorrow

Well, I spoke with the surgeon's nurse yesterday about my increased pain. I explained what was going on and she said she would pass the information on to the doctor and he would likely call me with further questions. Later yesterday afternoon I spoke with the doctor and he has asked me to come into the office tomorrow so they can examine me and make sure I am not having any complications. One complication that he specifically mentioned was an abscess. Hopefully everything will check out alright and this will be a small obstacle.

All I know is that I have not sat down in almost a week. My legs, back, and knees are really getting worn out. I did rig a contraption on the desk in the office. I placed a storage box on the desk and place my wireless keyboard on top so that I can stand and type at the same time. The only problem is there is nowhere to place the mouse.

Anyway, I will update tomorrow about what the doctor says.
