Hello Everyone!
It has been really hard for us the last few weeks with losing Kimberly's mom. We thank you for all the thoughts and prayers that we know have surrounded us in this time of difficulty. I will post a nice story about the week that Andrea passed in the near future so please be on the look out.
For now, I wanted to let everyone know about a fundraising event that I am participating in for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This run/race will help the organization that has assisted and will continue to assist my Cousin's son Sam. If you would like to know more about Sam please visit the blog located to the right (Our First Lil Wimberly). I have been preparing diligently over the past few months by pushing my exercise routine. I began walking shortly after my chemotherapy ended and have now ventured into the world of running. Admittedly, I cannot run very fast, but that is due more to my compromised respiratory system then my motivation. I have learned that to keep up with a running routine I need to tweak my pace and concentrate on my breathing. This has had great benefits for my physical health and my lung function, although still not like it was prior to surgery and removal of half my left lung.
Anyway, I am registered to run the 5K and looking very much forward to it. I would like you all to visit my personal page for the event and consider helping me meet my goal of raising $300 for Sam's team. I want to recommit myself to the idea, as well as, provide encouragement to Sam that physical limitations cannot stop you from accomplishing your goals and objectives if you are determined and committed. Thanks in advance to anyone who contributes!
Peace,
Josh
