Well, I just don't know what to make of life anymore...said as though I knew what to make of it before. I am so excited with the coming arrival of Bryan Andrew in April. Kimberly and I are beside ourselves with the idea of being parents and raising our little one. I am also very close to actually finishing my dissertation. I say that with reservation because I know there is still work to do, but it all goes as planned I will walk in May! I just have a few more paragraphs on my second to last chapter and then have to write the final chapter. Sounds easy enough, but it is actually very time consuming.
On top of this, I have been worried recently about some issues with my CT Scans over the past three months; not to mention my recent stop in the hospital to correct a complete small bowel obstruction. Luckily, no cancer in my small intestines. The lungs, however, are a different story. I had my follow-up CT scan this morning and there are still 2 spots in my left lung and a new one on my right lung. The doctor is still not certain what we are working with, but we are obviously concerned. The plan is to have a PET scan as soon as possible and see if anything more definitive shows up. That will give us an idea of where we might potentially biopsy. I am hoping for good results, but also planning for treatment should it come to that. I have been training and exercising really hard and I am in pretty good shape, but I am so scared about chemotherapy. I know the toll it takes.
Please keep all three of us in your prayers.
Peace,
Josh
