Feeling a little better

Hey everyone, Josh got his infusion Thursday and felt really crappy afterwards, but is feeling a bit better today. His red blood cell count was low prior to the infusion, so he may have to take some medicine or end up needing a transfusion. Also, his doctor decided to give him 4 more infusions of oxaliplatin, instead of 2 more, with 3 weeks in between each one. So he'll be getting them again on Feb. 28, March 20, and April 10. Also, the dosage is higher this time. He didn't throw up this time, which was good, but he had the chills and aches and nausea and generally feeling like dogs**t, as he puts it. :) After all, he is getting shot up with platinum; I'm sure it can't feel good. His immune system is going to be rather delicate for awhile so he'll be mostly hanging around the house. (Getting the flu right now would REALLY suck). So keep him in mind and drop him a note. And don't forget his birthday is this Tuesday the 12th!
Hope everyone is doing well,
Kimberly

Dearest Josh and Kimberly, I have not forgotten either of you! There is a card coming! Give him a big Kiss and Hug for us. We hope he is feeling better to at least have some Birthday Cake! I won't mention food until he is better and ready to eat at our table. Then we will cook what ever he likes Love you both and our Prayers will always be for you both.
