Pre-hernia

Hey everyone,
Turns out the knot on Josh's abdomen was indeed the beginnings of a hernia, but not a full-blown hernia requiring surgery or anything. Two residents examined it, and apparently the first resident pushed it back in when she was doing her thing, because resident #2 couldn't find it. But now it's poking back out a little. They just told Josh to take it easy and not lift anything (eg no more moving dryers!!). Josh is feeling yucky of course from chemo Thursday but no worse than usual. Only one more infusion to go! Yay!

We went to Josh's cousin's funeral this past week, it was very sad but a great testament to his life that there were SO many people there. It turns out he wasn't working on the church when the accident happened... he had been working on the church when a neighbor asked for an estimate for power washing (I think) the trim on his house... Jeff said no estimate needed, I'll just do it real quick right now. So he was 18 feet up on the ladder doing a favor for a neighbor when he fell and landed on his side. It's so sad. He was 36 years old with a 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son. He and Josh's cousin had been together since junior high.

Well, have a Happy Easter everyone. Josh and I plan to go to church in the morning.
